Motivated to get into journalism as a way to uncover and understand what is happening in her community and empower people by sharing information, Anna did a post graduate journalism degree after studying international relations, political science, and history.
She has been awarded for her work in her home country of New Zealand and her adopted home of Brooklyn, NYC, by organizations including the Pulitzer Center. When she’s not writing, making snacks, or walking her dog, Anna loves to play soccer, run around her neighborhood, and attempt to fix up all her thrift store finds.
A lifelong writer, Ashley’s creative talents were recognized early on with awards won during her childhood in Southern California and Hawaii. With degrees in Human Development and Educational Counseling from Azusa Pacific University, she transitioned from a 14-year career in education to focus on writing and family in 2014.
Prior to Injury Claims, Ashley’s experience included managing content for two class action news websites, serving as a senior blog editor for a college guidance platform, and running an executive resume writing service. When not writing, she enjoys rewatching Game of Thrones, shopping sprees, and exploring San Diego with her daughter.
